Scott Weiland and Dean DeLeo have accepted the invitation Wallflowers addressed to them to remix "Letters From The Wasteland", whose original version is contained on their last album, "Beach".
As you should know by now, STP did not win the Grammy they were nominated for this year... oh well. However, Mr. and Mrs. Weiland honoured the event by... well, showing up to the awards. Whoever wants to see a freaky photo of the lovely couple click here.
"The End Of The Old As We Knew It" marks the acting debut of Scott Weiland. The film, directed by Courtney Taylor-Taylor, received its premiere at the Sundance Festival, and the more curious among us can check it out at the Dandy Warhols official website.

STP, sadly, did not win the ''Best Hard Rock Performance'', losing out to Rage Against the Machine's "Guerrilla Radio". Well, we can see it as a posthumous award, since they've now split up!! Haha!! What? I don't know how to lose??? How dare you say that?? :) I'm just kidding, I totally respect Rage.

In a recent interview, Robert DeLeo stated to Teri van Horn that Weiland is a new person. Said the man: "We're all in this really amazing house that we rented, and I was looking out of my bedroom window this morning and saw Scott holding [his son] Noah out on the edge of this cliff, [and I said] to myself, 'Man, what a change what a new person.' " .
The new double CD recording sessions are proceeding without complications. Things are going in an unexpectedly smooth way! So far, 5 songs have been written: 3 by Robert, 1 by his brother, Dean and the last one by Weiland. Rob said recently that the origins of some of these songs trace all the way back to 1993, but were left on the backburner by the band, who have decided that now is the time to fully develop their potential."You can't drive me away" and "Heed the water whisper" are prime candidates to show up on the next album.
''But what if they run out of inspiration?'', I hear you cry. Fear not, 'cause Robert also said: "Between the four of us, there's going to be probably enough material for a triple album."
My fellow europeans, get ready for STP, as they will start the promotion tour of the next album in The Old Continent, heading for the U.S. only afterwards.
Weiland has become a DJ in Sonicnet. Whoever wants to check out his playlist, just check out http://radio.sonicnet.com/stations/station-90.asp . There you can find such names as: Radiohead, U2, Nirvana, Sex Pistols, Fiona Apple, David Bowie, Beastie Boys... and Frank Sinatra. (What, no STP???)

"Holiday". This is the title of the new STP album, due Summer 2001.
Weiland claimed recently to the January edition of Alternative Press that the band would employ the same energy and enthusiasm to the recording of the new songs as they did on their debut "Core". Tentative song titles include: "Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation", "Astronaut School", "Holiday At The Infirmary" and "Coma".
Scott Weiland recently teamed up with Sly Stallone not to act in some action flick with more brawn than brain, but to present the ''Band Of The Year'' at the recent VH1 awards. Check out some more pics at www.vh1.com/mymusic/gallery/

At long last, some great news to STP fans worldwide. The band will lock itself up in January in a rented house in Malibu to record... a DOUBLE ALBUM, due out next Spring or Summer.About the house, Weiland's comments were: "It's an old Spanish house. We are going to live there, sleep naked there, have massive band orgies there, write the best music we have ever written, and record a double album."
Some of the material to be included on ''Holiday'' was written on the road, on their recent tour of the U.S. The album will be once again produced by Brendan O'Brien, who twiddled knobs on other STP albums.
