A new show was added to STP's schedule on December 30. It will take place at the House Of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Dean DeLeo will participate on Alanis Morissette's new album "Under Rug Swept" due in stores next year.
First of all I'd like to apologize for not updating the page since 21-11. I've so many things to do! Oh well...
1- Weiland goes to court in Las Vegas on December 16.
2- Nick at Below Empty has added some new mp3 and pics to his site. I would like to highlight the mp3 of the Scott Weiland's latest cover : Depeche Mode's But Not Tonight and the 25 photos from the recording session of "Revolution" (October 6, 2001) .
3- The official site has an exclusive Family Values video, where we can see Jerry Cantrell, Alice In Chains guitarist, playing "Got me wrong" with STP. This site also has a funny mp3 from Weiland: calling from MyVH1 awards (11-30) to the webmasters of the site (where he was presenting an award). Midway throught the show he called on STP's fans to vote for Red Hot Chili Peppers, cause Creed were winning by 2000 votes on the category he was presenting.
Weiland was arrested last Monday (2 a.m.) for domestic violence. According to police, the incident occurred when his wife, Mary, attempted to stop the singer from leaving their room at the Hard Rock Hotel. Mary sat in front of the door and Scott tried to remove her by grabbing her arms and pushing Mary against the wall several times. She had some bruises on her biceps.
The law required that he be held in custody for 12 hours, and Weiland's lawyers are working on the case.
He made an appearance at the first of the band's two shows (on Monday night) at the Hard Rock dressed in a cowboy hat and a priest outfit. When Weiland removed the hat, he expose fresh cuts and bruises on each side of his Mohawk hairdo. About an hour into the show, Weiland said to the crowd: "I might be a failure at love, but I've written a few good songs in my time."
Police did not indicate that drug charges were connected to his latest arrest.
In the Sacramento's show ( 11.14), STP have recibed another special guest: Aaron Lewis (from Staind). He sang the acoustic version of "Creep" with Weiland. Anybody has this mp3?
My dear friend Rik, at
Below Empty, have just added some of the highlights of the Family Values Tour to his downloads page.
There' s a gossip that STP have moved on to the The Firm (artist management). They look up for many popular artists, like: Limp Bizkit, Backstreet Boys, Korn, Orgy and Michael Jackson. I've checked their site this week and STP weren't in their list of clients. Let's wait!
Scott Weiland was interviewed by Orange County Register. He talked about the past, present and future of the band, and I advise you to read the full article at myoc.com.
Teaser :
Scott Weiland - "An Evening With Stone Temple
Pilots," ... that's what our fans want. But right now we're
stuck with our greatest hits ... and it isn't fulfilling anymore.
There are nights when it's magic, and we're always putting out
200 percent. I mean, I just injured my knee severely. I have torn
cartilage and I'll need surgery when the tour is over. But I'm
still out there putting out the same energy."
Scott
Weiland will
participate on the soundtrack of "Not Another Teen Movie" with a cover of Depeche Mode's song
"But
Not Tonight". If
you want to read the lyric click here!
The film is a parody of teen genre pictures and comes out
December 14 . The MPAA r ating for the film was R, cause it has
strong crude sexual content and humor, language and some drug
content. To see some details of the film go to the site of upcomingmovies.

On the October 23th (Albany) STP received an unexpected visit. Linkin Park's vocalist decided to join the band to sing " Dead and Bloated " in duet with Weiland. This should have been a very special moment for him, once Scott is one of his idols. To see a pic that was taken by a fan click here!
On Friday, October 26, STP will be on the Howard Stern show in New York.
Richard Patrick ( Filter) participated in the concert that STP gave in Chicago on the 12th. He sang with Weiland " Hey man, Nice shot ". If you want this mp3, go to Below Empty . This site also added the mp3 of "Too Cool Queenie", that was recorded during the visit of STP to Rockline (July 30th).

CNN clips of STP at "Come Together" can be found at Below Empty. This site also as a mp3 of "Revolution", STP's song at the Lennon Tribute.
MTV is playing "What's Going On", however I can't see where Weiland is! I must be very blind... or he doesn't participate in the video. If someone knows where Weiland is, please tell me!
